Designed and implemented the company's full data analytics strategy: model-driven pipelines across sales, marketing and finance; 40% reduction in manual data mapping effort via clustering and similarity scoring; a governance framework compliant with the General Data Protection Regulation; executive dashboards for critical decision-making.
Innovare – lead data engineer and AI feature owner
Designed and deployed AI-powered features for the InnoTM application: entity resolution at scale using probabilistic matching, similarity scoring and clustering (Python, Airflow); production-grade big data pipelines end-to-end; model training, integration and iterative improvement; data quality enforcement and automated testing.
CICS · Kellanova – cloud data engineering (consulting)
Two back-to-back enterprise consulting engagements: CICS – designed and implemented an AWS data fabric architecture (S3, Glue, Athena, QuickSight) integrating SAP and BODS sources into a centralized data lake. Kellanova – built a GCP data warehouse (BigQuery, Cloud Composer, Cloud Data Fusion, Data Studio) integrating Oracle Database and the Google Drive API with automated alerting.
Morgan Stanley – global financial services
Led 2 cross-globe engineering squads (~20 members, Mexico and India) in a dual senior role. As service delivery manager, scrum master and product owner: managed 6+ VP-level stakeholders, designed end-to-end requirements flowcharts, facilitated all scrum ceremonies, drove the Python 2 to 3 migration across critical phone applications, and delivered executive dashboards for data-driven decision-making. As senior data engineer: Medallion Architecture on Azure Databricks (PySpark, Delta Lake); metadata-driven source-to-target mapping across 10+ heterogeneous systems; Snowflake analytics platform; 30% pipeline efficiency improvement.
Canadian Tire · Cigna – retail and healthcare
Canadian Tire: defined epics, user stories and backlog for a retail digital transformation program; coordinated business and technology teams using Power Platform and WorkFusion robotic process automation. Cigna: prioritised the pharmaceutical product backlog following product owner guidelines; delivered customer-facing newsletters based on behavioural segmentation; introduced new delivery guidelines across the squad.
Globant – multi-client business analyst and product owner
Gathered and documented requirements from executive stakeholders for 4 global enterprise clients: Johnson & Johnson, Santander, Apple and Disney. Built initiative → epic → user story → task hierarchies, ran sprint refinement sessions with product, design, quality and development teams, and coordinated multinational localisation rollouts.
American Express (Payback platform) – Latin America
Probabilistic entity matching and customer segmentation models across a multi-country loyalty platform, delivering a 15% improvement in partner indicators. Engineered large-scale data pipelines using Python, AWS Kinesis (streaming), S3 and Lambda. Partners: American Express, Santander, Interjet, Cinemex. Presented data quality findings and mapping logic to executive stakeholders.
Payback (American Express Group) – Mexico
Implemented Apache Spark for high-volume batch processing of loyalty and transaction data. Led account hierarchy restructuring and an account graduation predictive model using SAS Enterprise Guide and SQL. Delivered executive dashboards and analytical reports in an agile (Kanban) environment.
Everis Mexico · Quarksoft · Smart Byte – early career
Smart Byte: built PwC's electronic tax accounting system (C#, SQL, MongoDB, scrum). Quarksoft: developed an ASP.NET MVC4 logistics platform for the Mexico City metro and airport. Everis: project office analyst coordinating offshore developers in India for Banamex / Citigroup, the foundation of our multi-site global collaboration.
